Beauly to East Daviot via Muir of Ord and North Kessock
The first activity of the day was an early hour’s walk with about half on a fine track alongside the wide Beauly River. The walk ended in heavy rain but the rest of the day was warm and dry.
The stop at Muir of Ord was my first ever and it seemed a friendly place with a strong community. There was much evidence of sharing and caring.
First left after crossing the Kessock Bridge took me mainly along wide cycle paths to Highland Bikes where my tyres were pumped and I was shown then bought a secure method for attaching water bottle cages at chosen points on the frame.
A short visit to a cousin fitted her busy schedule and there was plenty to catch up with after only a couple of days.
Another relative was also conveniently at home and told me about the excellent, coordinated care he was receiving in Inverness for a recent eye problem and that he was looking forward to being allowed to drive again soon.
Today’s stats were 40 miles of cycling with 1900 feet of ascent and 1400 active calories for the walking plus cycling.
