Day 11 of Lap 2

Kilmelford to Lochranza

The pull up the hills is the thought of breakfast at The Fyne Deli in Tarbert. On this occasion a stop at Kilmartin was forgone and it was not until a layby after the Crinan Canal section that a stop for a rest and some carried food was felt necessary. Breakfast at a table outside The Fyne Deli, looking out over the harbour, was memorable.

The ride to the ferry terminal at Claonaig was scenic, with sunshine and blue sea and sky. Arrival at Lochranza was at a suitable time to have another fine vegetarian sandwich at The Sandwich Station before checking in at the campsite and having a relaxing afternoon and evening before an attempt to get back to Dumfries the following day.
