Kilchoan to Salen
This day after the party, a coffee at the Pop-Up Cafe was much appreciated. and a chance to meet more locals.
The days cycling would not be challenging; a ride from Tobermory to the campsite at Salen via Dervaig and Achnacraig because the Achnacraig road is a first for me in either direction.
Tobermory is a distinctive town in which to linger after taking the ferry from Kilchoan. A further relaxed day is planned for tomorrow, to provide the opportunity to revisit eateries in Oban while reaching Kilmelford campsite on the main road after the traffic has eased in the evening.
As usual, the fare from the stores near the river was thoroughly enjoyed:

The Islander with local seaweed chutney is a favourite of mine.
The road to Dervaig to Salen went through countryside with very few houses and had much less traffic than the road from Tobermory to Salen. The route is 10 miles further so a good choice for when there is no hurry.
The Salen campsite is well-equipped and a comfortable stay.
