Day 16 of Lap 3

Walking, Cycling and Visiting in Inverness

A walk before breakfast used some different roads including those with options for buying food within easy walking distance from the campsite. During another visit to a cousin we covered among the usual mix of topics the huge changes in Inverness and its inhabitants over the years and the consequences of lockdown. With her guidance possible routes for a circuit north of Loch Ness tomorrow are taking shape.

It was time to visit Highland Bikes and find out the latest estimation of the time of my bike’s repair. It is scheduled for first thing on Wednesday so I hope to be back in East Daviot on Wednesday evening.

Inverness Library is not far from the bike shop so it was a good opportunity to keep dry and use WiFi and download and become familiar with a new app for the tablet to help with the construction of web pages. It was possible to ignore the snoring after a while!

A quick light meal at the Spanish restaurant was supplemented by food eaten in the same shelter as other campers who were cooking a proper meal on a petrol-burning stove.
